In 2014 Sam and Renate Jensen met during a training event in Spain. Renate from Northern Norway was training for the upcoming race season in Scandinavia while Sam from New Zealand was living in his van travelling Europe to fulfill his dream of racing internationally. Over time they got better acquainted and began training together across many of the major European circuits. Even with the stresses of racing Renate and Sam worked in synchronized harmony both on and off the circuit so it only made sense….
They agreed to form a team together and work toward a common goal: To compete both as a couple and as a team in the same class, Superstock 600.
This is the most competitive class of motorcycle racing in Scandinavia. Sam moved from Warm New Zealand to the frozen Arctic of Northern Norway on the other side of the globe. Arctic Circle Racing team was born.
